Funded by the European Commission, COALESCE is a four-year project (Apr ’23 – Mar ’27) to establish a European Competence Centre for Science Communication and an associated Science Communication Academy.

Co-creating the EU Competence Centre for Science Communication

The virtual Competence Centre will consolidate science-communication knowledge, resources and tools from a variety of sources. These will be made available to science-communication stakeholders across Europe in ways that are useful and replicable in different contexts.

COALESCE Stakeholders Networks, University Alliances & Communities of Practice

Diverse European communities possess knowledge of and experience with science communication. COALESCE will engage these stakeholders in co-creation activities and mutual learning as well as in validating the Competence Centre’s products for their respective needs.
