Coordination
Manage and coordinate all COALESCE activities, including the network of National & Regional Hubs.
COALESCE Work Package 1 (WP1) is “Project Management, Coordination and Co-Coordination”.
The COALESCE project Coordination team oversees the overall management and coordination of COALESCE.
We follow a co-leadership structure at the project and WP levels. This helps us boost a research-practice approach for knowledge and innovation throughout the project. We also guarantee the effective usage of resources, including quality assurance, risk and contingency procedures, and integration of gender and inclusion aspects. We are further responsible for the compliance with open science and data protection.
We organise regular mutual learning and exploitation meetings, involving relevant external stakeholders in science communication at national and international level.
We are establishing and coordinating a network of National & Regional Hubs: these are organisations across Europe, including COALESCE consortium partners, with an excellent reputation in science communication in their respective countries/regions that will physically represent the European Competence Centre for Science Communication.

Main results and achievements in WP1
- Coordination of internal communication channels for all partners
- Management and maintenance of short-term and long-term data storage solutions
- Agreements signed with partners and external members
- Yearly Enrollment of N&R hubs (up to 20) and collaboration with more than 35 organisations/projects (some examples include, ECS, PATTERN, REINFORCING and Skills4EOSC projects)
- Establishment of Ethics Procedure
